Amanda F, London- 2023: Andrew worked with our son H during Year 11 for his Geography Edexcel IGCSE. We were concerned because H was struggling with a number of subjects and got Grade 3 in his geography mock in January. Andrew and H worked from February to the last exam and the result was a 4 grade uplift to a Grade 7 in the final geography GCSE exam in June 2023. Extraordinary tutor! What makes Andrew such a special person and talented teacher is that he really cares! He is passionate about helping each individual to achieve their best. H has a lot of learning differences including severe dyslexia and ADHD. Andrew used the Pomodoro technique, to aid H’s concentration. Andrew also broke down the topics carefully which helped comprehension and being able to use the knowledge to answer questions.  Andrew also uses humour and pathos to connect with the young person, which builds self esteem and confidence. This made a big difference. On the academic side, Andrew knows the exam boards and the subject content inside out and upside down. There is literally no question he cannot answer and it is a real credit to him. None of H’s school teachers were as well informed on the exam curriculum, techniques or methods to learn how to write well for extended questions.  Andrew has a fail proof way of doing exam practice questions. That is his “magic” and skill as a teacher. Highly recommend.

A. South London- 2022: Andrew worked with both my daughters, providing exactly the right level of support for their GCSE and A levels respectively. Geography wasn't a preferred subject for my youngest at GCSE level, but she wanted to achieve her best. With Andrew's support, she was thrilled with an 8! My eldest had support from Andrew during the height of the pandemic, when her GCSEs were cancelled and remote schooling was the only way. She was keen to study Geography for A level and beyond, so needed to keep learning with limited support from her school. Sofia Simonovicova, Bratislava- 2022: I started my lessons with Andrew in November and continued to have a two hour lesson daily and a few additional ones closer to my A level exam. Andrew literally saved me, as my geography teacher was struggling to cover the A level syllabus and was new to the whole A level system. Andrew explained everything in detail to me that was not covered, went over  the things I already did in school and even told to me what still needs to be covered. What I appreciated was that he would give feedback  on past paper questions from the official specifications and would give me tips on how exactly I have to answer the questions in the exams to be able to score the highest marks. This definitely helped me receive an A on both papers. This would not be possible if Andrew had not explained the whole structure of the paper 4 and helped me with preparing the report, even with the limited time. In addition, even with his busy schedule, he was always very flexible and okay with changing the time of the lesson or adding an additional one. I definitely recommend Andrew as he is not only an amazing tutor but also a person who you can talk to.

Catherine Jackson, Durham- 2022: When we went to Andrew, Daniel had just about scraped a disastrous E in his mocks. Since January 2022, with less than 5 months of tutoring, that has been turned into a strong B at A-level.
Andrew boosted his confidence level massively from rock bottom and helped him love Geography again. Daniel looked forward to his tutoring sessions. They were well planned and structured. Chris Buckland, Worcestershire, December retake result 2020: After not being pleased with my A-level Geography grade, awarded by my teachers, I decided to resit the exam. Having not been at school for months due to Coronavirus, I desperately needed help to prepare for my exam, only given just over a month to revise. Had an absolute blast working with Andy, he managed to really capture my interest in Geography and increased my grade by 2 levels from my previous mock results.
